Dramatic demonstration kit that provides an impressive, unforgettable, hands-on demonstration of the texture and fragility of the mammalian lungs, as well as demonstrating that real lungs are not like rubber balloons in a bell jar. The teacher’s guide emphasizes the handling, use, and storage of the reusable swine lungs, and includes a detailed illustration of internal anatomy. Supplemental information about lung cancer, other smoking-related diseases, and air pollutants is also included.

This inflatable lung comparison kit is designed to demonstrate the effects of prolonged smoking. It utilizes the BioFlex preserved lungs from the Inflatable Lung Kit (LS03765) and the BioFlex preserved lungs from the Simulated Smoker’s Lungs Demonstration Kit (LS03767) to demonstrate to students the differences in color and texture of smoker’s and non-smoker’s lungs. The BioQuest® Comparison Lungs Kit includes an inflation rack and tray, air pump, a pair of Simulated Healthy lungs, a pair of Simulated Smoker’s lungs, a cross section of a dried swine lung, storage containers, and a teacher’s guide.

Note: this is real preserved tissue (color may vary).
