As the steel spheres track a pattern on the kit’s turntable, students simulate the effect of the earth’s rotation on winds, ocean, currents, and material objects. 
 
Each kit includes one 14 in. diameter base with erasable tracing surface mounted on a turntable, removable launch structure, two 5/8 in. diameter steel spheres, and teacher’s guide.
