This balance is designed to demonstrate the principle of operation and mechanical advantage of levers. The fulcrum stand incorporates a cast iron base for stability. The weights are nickel plated brass hooked above and below so the weights can be hung in tandem. Consists of a 50 cm ruler, a knife-edge clamp to support the ruler, a fulcrum support stand, a 50 g and 100 g mass, and two knife-edge clamps to attach the masses to the lever.
